Document Description
Frontier Communications proposes to work within Caltrans right of way on State Route 395 in Modoc County from Post Mils (PM) 23.06 to PM 23.13. The work consists of trenching approximately 4 linear feet and boring approximately 396 linear feet for the purpose of placing fiber optic cable. The work will also include placing two 2' x 3' hand holes and one 3'x 5' pullbox.

The California Department of Transportation has determined that the project is categorically exempt in accordance with Sections 15301 (Existing Facilities). Class 1 consists of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of existing or former use. The project would have negligible or no expansion of use, a would not have a significant impact on the environment.
