Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-RIV-28520-R6, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Jan Bulinski, Riverside County Transportation Department. The Project will impact streams due to the reconstruction and realignment of an existing roadway. The existing 22-foot-wide roadway will be increased to a total of 28 feet. The reconstruction will require permanent right-of way acquisition for construction of the proposed Project, including additional right-of-way for graded slopes and new drainage easements. Retaining walls along the roadway will be constructed to ensure that sediment does not extend into the streambed. Drainage improvements include the extension of most existing culverts along the roadway reconstruction. This will require grading at the inlet and/or outlet of the culvert, installation of riprap, and construction of new headwalls (Drainages D1-D5). Riprap and culvert size will be determined based on hydrological need and will vary from small diameter culverts (18” to 36” diameter) and medium sized culverts (48” diameter to 83” x 57” arched). One new culvert will be constructed near the intersection of Mesa Verde Circle and Pauba Road. New overside drains will be constructed on the south side of the road to convey water off the road (Drainages A-H)
