Document Description
The project would involve replacing an existing corroded corrugated metal pipe (CMP) with a new reinforced concrete box culvert (RCB) in the southeast yard of Rotary Manor along Fifth Avenue. The replacement would require relocation of an underground PG&E gas pipeline and diversion and/or bypass pumping of surface and groundwater around the project site, and sawcut and partial demolition of the existing downstream endwall. Approximately 45 linear feet of eight by six feet RCB culvert would be installed, and concrete would be formed and poured at the hinge point interface between the existing and new culverts and between the new RCB and existing endwall. Backfill of the culvert trench would utilize concrete slurry, native paved backfill material, and planting soil. After installation, the existing trellis would be rebuilt and landscaping, and irrigation systems would be restored in the southeast yard.
