Document Description
The project will replace planting along the corridor; install new stamped integral colored concrete paving, planting, and cobblestone paving in medians; install radar feedback speed limit signs on SR 223 east of Comanche Drive and West of Derby St.; install high visibility crosswalks, advanced yield markings, and rectangular rapid flashing beacons along SR 223 at St. Thomas Street, Campus Drive, Meyer Street, Comanche Drive, Morton Place, A Street, Hill Street, and Acala Street intersections; install bulb outs along SR 223 at Campus Drive, Meyer Street, Comanche Drive, Morton Place, A Street, Hill Street, and Acala Street intersections. The purpose of this project is to provide enhanced aesthetic and safety features along SR 223 for all users. This project is needed to enhance safety features for pedestrians with the improvement of current crosswalks and intersections as well as the installation of new crosswalks. This project will also address needed aesthetic improvements to the medians and improve the visual character and identity of the city.
