Document Description
Project Geology will perform a fault investigation within the slopes of the Pearblossom Pumping Plant to map, assess, and sample the surface geologic conditions for the installation of a new guard shack. Hand tools will be used to clean the ground surface in order to collect soil samples. Where hand tools are not adequate, a long reach excavator (or similar) will be used to scrape the surface. No vegetation will be removed. Displaced material will be spread in the area. Staging of equipment will be on established paved and unpaved roads. All work will be within DWR right-of-way.

The State Water Project provides significant and important services to many Californians. This project is exempt because it involves information collection. This project will not result in impacts to special status species or habitat.
