Document Description
This project proposes to install a traffic signal at the intersection of State Route 32 and Meridian Road at post mile 4.166 in Butte county. This project will improve safety at this location, including reducing the severity of collisions and reducing the number of fatal collisions. In addition to the traffic signal installation, intersection and approach lighting will be installed. Advanced detection loops will be installed on both the minor and major roadway approaches. Advanced warning beacons and new census stations will be installed on both eastbound and westbound State Route 32. The intersection will also have pedestrian pushbuttons, countdown heads, and Portland Cement-Concrete pads to accommodate bicyclists.
