Document Description
Delta Field Division (DFD) is requesting additional storage space between existing stockpiles, the additional space will require maintenance which includes smoothing out the surface by laying out aggregate base to have a leveled work area. A front loader, grader, and water truck will be used. The new stockpile area will be approximately 150ft x 200ft. Additionally, an access road of 12’wide by 230’ long is being proposed behind existing stockpile #2. All work will be within DWR right-of-way.

Reasons for Exemption
Categorical Exemption 15304 (a); Minor Alterations to Land pertains to activities that grade on land with a slope less than 10%, exceptions to this exemption include areas with waterways, officially designated scenic areas, or severe geologic hazardous areas. The Project area does not fall under any of the previously listed exceptions. Land is ruderal grassland, and existing staging areas frequently used by the State. In addition, the project activities have been evaluated for impacts to environmental resources, it has been determined that the activities will not result in any impacts to biological, cultural, or officially designated resources.
