Document Description
The Project is led by the U.S Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and proposes to place approximately 100,000 cubic yards of dredged sediment from the Port of Redwood City Operations and Maintenance Project in shallow tidal waters offshore of the California Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Eden Landing Ecological Reserve (Eden Landing). The purpose of the project is to assess the ability of this novel sediment placement technique to transport sediment onto mudflats and marshes in and around Eden Landing, and whether this procedure can increase the efficiency of sediment delivery.
