Document Description
The project consists of two Grant of Easements to the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) from the County Department of Water Resources (DWR). The easements will allow for placement of electrical facilities for the powering of the two pump stations and will provide SMUD with maintenance access. The D49 station is limited to the grant of easement; no planned construction at this time. Proposed construction at the D33 station consists of installation of a new 24-square foot primary pull box, an 87-square foot transformer pad, and 4-inch conduit between the pull box and transformer. The new equipment will tie into existing underground 12KV lines and will provide electrical service to the recently upgraded D33 pump station (PLER2021-00129).

Reasons for Exemption
Class 3 consists of the construction and location of new, small facilities or structures and the installation of small new equipment and facilities in small structures, including electrical and other utility extensions. Class 5 consists of minor alterations in land use limitations in areas with an average slope of less than 20%, which do not result in any changes in land use or density. Class 3 would cover the construction and installation of electrical facilities and Class 5 would cover the Grant of Easement.
