Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-MOO-28253-R6, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Southern California Edison as represented by Hazem Gabr. The project is limited to maintenance and repair activities within the boundaries of the SCE right-of-way (ROW) along an approximate 87 miles of access roads, and includes vegetation management (brushing, trimming, and mowing) using hand tools and heavy equipment, and road maintenance (blading, grading, excavation, compaction) likely including the removal of obstructions and slide debris, slump repair, and the re-establishment of earthen berms and water bars all with the use of heavy equipment. Road widths can vary depending on the voltage of the line and the type of vehicles that need to access the structures. Standard road width is typically 14 to 18 feet. The Project work will be limited to the work area, defined as an 18-foot-wide corridor centered on the roads (the road prism) and up to 5 feet on each side beyond the edge of the road for minor vegetation trimming. This Agreement authorizes either all project activities being completed at once and cannot be repeated or up to 20% of impacts per year. No excavation of roots or stumps will occur.
