Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is planning to restore approximately 6 miles of SR 5 (number 2 lane) in Siskiyou County (PM R19.0/R25.3) to a condition that requires minimal maintenance. This HM dollar job will apply a 0.10' mill and fill with isolated digouts. Removal of thermoplastic pavement markings will be required. This project will be constructed in 2022 and will take approximately 20 working days.

Class 1 consists of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of existing or former use. Caltrans has determined that this project would have negligible or no expansion of existing or former use, and would have no significant effect on the environment.
