Interpretative signage in Solatluk (Wiyot language) will be placed at the three village sites on Humboldt Bay, the Dou gou rou louwi’ Cultural Center (Wiyot Cultural Center) in Eureka, and at the Humboldt Coastal Nature Center in Arcata to explain the history of the Wiyot people, culturally important species, and the ethnobiology at these sites. In addition, the Wiyot Tribe is going to tell the present and traditional stories of the Tribe’s ecological knowledge related to Wiyot stewardship and eco-cultural renewal.
