Document Description
The project is limited to vegetation maintenance on two existing ditches approximately three feet wide and 925 feet long. The purpose of the project is to maintain the ditches’ capacity to convey storm water during the winter and irrigation runoff during the summer. No rip rap or structures will be placed in the ditches. Vegetation and sediment removal will be confined to the bed and banks of the ditches. Non-native tree removal and trimming may be required. Work will be performed when the ditches are dry. Spoils from the project will be disposed of in an upland area where they cannot pass into waters of the state. Equipment to be used includes mechanical cutters, shredders, string trimmers, chainsaws and backhoes.
