Document Description
PG&E is proposing to perform vegetation maintenance activities along the Delta-Mountain Gate Junction 60 kilovolt transmission line in the Interstate 5 (I-5) right-of-way (ROW) in Shasta County: post mile 41.2 to 43.2. As part of the proposed work, 61 trees and 265 bushes would be removed from 66 locations within Caltrans ROW. No earthwork is proposed; vegetation maintenance activities would be performed with hand tools. The purpose of the project is to maintain public safety and provide reliable electric services to PG&E customers. To facilitate maintenance activities, traffic control would be performed during the proposed work. Caltrans would issue an encroachment permit to allow for the proposed work to occur within State right-of-way.

The project would have no significant impact on the environment.
