Document Description
A power pole along the Temescal Ridge Fire Road sustained damage during the most recent wind and rain storms causing it to become cracked. LADWP proposes to do emergency work to repair the pole until such a time that the pole can be replaced. LADWP proposes to approach the site along the Temescal Ridge fire road in a bucket truck. LADWP would access the pole from the fire road. LADWP would de-energize the transformer and power line attached to the damaged pole. LADWP would then tie up the transformer to the adjacent pole in the same pole site. The damaged pole will then be braced with crossarms and ropes to the other poles. There will be no ground disturbance, excavation nor vegetation removal. If the damaged pole is not repaired immediately and does fail there will likely be a loss of power as well as a risk of fire.
