Document Description
Color the Water’s Surfer Support Circles is a one-year long program that guides participants on their surf journeys and connection to the ocean through surf lessons, access to surfboards and gear, transportation, orientation to surf breaks and beach entry, and fundamental ocean safety instruction. The goal of the program is to encourage autonomous surfers and the creation of a network of BIPOC surfers for on-going support and sustained connection to the coast. Rather than achievement or performance, instruction is centered around water safety and enjoyment for the learners.
