Authorize the California Department of Parks and Recreation’s Deputy Director to execute an Property Acquisition Agreement with MP-786 Parks, LLC for the purchase of a ±11.69-acre property located at the southwest corner of the intersection of Lang Avenue and 65th Street in McClellan Park, California, Sacramento County Assessor’s Parcel No. 215-0350-030-0000; and a +2.13-acre property located on the west side of Lang Avenue and bounded on the west by Straus Drive, Assessor’s Parcel No. 215-0390-010-0000 (City of Sacramento). The building on the former APN is currently occupied by California State Parks’ Statewide Museum Collection Center, while DPR maintains storage on the latter. Tenants will remain unchanged.

The acquisition would not result in either a direct physical change in the environment or a reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change on the environment and, therefore, is not considered a "project", subject to CEQA review (Pub. Resources Code, § 21065; 14 I Cal. Code Regs., § 15378). Any future activities contemplated would be subject to environmental review, as required under CEQA, prior to approval to allow for meaningful information for environmental assessment at that time and compliance with any other applicable environmental laws.
