During the week of the New Voices program, students will participate in various activities and fieldtrips, including canoeing on a local tidal estuary, volunteering for coastal clean-up and restoration, conducting water monitoring, and meeting with SF Idle No More "Water is Life” members to gain an indigenous perspective on water management. Participants will go on a weekend camping trip at a local park next to the beach in the San Francisco’s Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
