Document Description
Department of Water Resources staff will perform geologic exploration at the Clay Pits State Vehicular Recreation Area to help determine the suitability for borrow materials for the Parish Camp Saddle Dam Raise Project. The geologic exploration work includes digging 12 shallow test pits and taking soil samples within the narrow terrace that borders the north and west edge of the park. Access routes will be existing on-site trails.
