Document Description
This proposed project involves The Project includes the development of 18.28 acres of undeveloped land into a warehouse facility. Project activities include grubbing and grading of the entire Project site; removal of WJT; excavation of soils to a depth of at least 7 feet below the existing grade and to a depth of at least 3 feet below the proposed pad grade and soils to be balanced on site; additional improvements including sidewalks, utility connections, implementation of stormwater facilities, pavement of parking areas and driveways; and landscaping trench digging, pile driving, road construction, tree removal, and other activities. The Project will result in impacts to and removal of 12.6 acres of Western Joshua Tree (Yucca brevifolia) habitat. The project is expected to result in incidental take of Western Joshua Tree, which is/are designated as a candidate species under the California Endangered Species Act. The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
