The California Tahoe Conservancy will provide grant funding to Lake Tahoe Unified School District for the South Tahoe Environmental Education Program. The South Tahoe Environmental Education Program provides environmental education programming for all K-8th graders at Lake Tahoe Unified School District. The primary goals of the program are to create a sense of social responsibility, awareness, community stewardship for all students, and to prepare students for future endeavors in the environmental field.
