Document Description
The California Tahoe Conservancy will provide grant funding to the nonprofit Adventure Risk Challenge for its Tahoe Community Leadership Program. The Tahoe Community Leadership Program consists of cohorts of 12-14 North Tahoe High School students. It includes several elements: monthly outdoor excursions, one-on-one mentoring and English language instruction, a 34-day immersive summer backpacking course, environmental education, wilderness first aid training, poetry writing, and a student-led outdoor leadership day for middle school youth.
