Document Description
The project consists of a series of amendments to the City’s Downtown Plan by extending the boundary of the existing Downtown Plan to incorporate the South of Laurel Area into the Downtown Plan boundary, to incorporate development standards and design guidelines for the project area and add other policies and standards to the City’s Downtown Plan that will facilitate future redevelopment of the project area. The project also includes amendments to the City’s General Plan 2030, the Local Coastal Program, the Beach and South of Laurel Comprehensive Area Plan, and the Municipal Code to provide updates consistent with the amendments to the Downtown Plan, including land use designation amendments for some parcels and zone district amendments for all parcels in the project area. Implementation of the project would facilitate additional development as a result of various circulation, land use and infrastructure revisions.
