Document Description
The project will provide improvements to Beacon’s Beach to improve and maintain safe access to the beach from Neptune Avenue. The work includes removing an existing asphalt concrete dike along the west side of Neptune Avenue and placing a new asphalt concrete dike approximately 7' to 8' to the east. The project will remove existing parking lot striping along the east and west sides of Neptune Avenue and restripe both the parking lot and the street. It will mill the existing parking lot and repave it. The project proposes an ADA parking sign, accessible pavement markings signage, curb ramp, and truncated domes. Existing benches, bike rack, concrete sidewalk, and fencing will be relocated to new locations. An existing planter will be removed and not replaced. Existing facilities including dirt pathways, storm drainpipes, and drain drop inlets will be protected in place.
