The proposed project is Categorically Exempt from environmental proceedings pursuant to Section 15301, Class 1, of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines, which exempts the installation of small new equipment in small structures and the construction of new, small accessory structures. The project is exempt because it consists of construction of an amphitheater and a 585 square foot shade structure within an existing courtyard west of the Palmdale Water District main office.
