Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number EPIMS-TRI-30068-R1, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Hans Johanson. The proposed Project is limited to the diversion of Rush Creek for the purposes of domestic use and fire protection. The diversion facility consists of a 48-inch diameter concrete cistern set ten feet into the substrate adjacent to Rush Creek outside the ordinary high-water mark. Construction requires the excavation of approximately 22 cubic yards of cobble and sediment. Once the cistern is installed, the surrounding void will be backfilled with river rock and gravel. Water will be diverted in accordance with a valid claim of water right, at a maximum rate of 1.25 gallons per minute and stored within aboveground tanks totaling 3,700 gallons of capacity. Construction access requires the use of an existing four-wheel drive road from Highway 3.
