Document Description
NCRO’s Geology and Groundwater Investigations’ (GGI) Professional Geologist (PG) or Geologist-In-Training (GIT) will oversee a contractor in the drilling of two 350-foot-deep boreholes in Sacramento County to obtain sub-surface lithologic information.
The sub-surface data gathered will contribute information for the South American Subbasin GSAs to meet the objectives for the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) and implementation of their Groundwater Sustainability Plan.

Class 6 exempts actions for data collection and resource evaluation which do not result in significant impact to an environmental resource. The goal of the geological exploration is to provide sufficient geotechnical and geological information to develop an understanding of the subsurface sediment architecture so that groundwater recharge pilot testing can be planned and implemented.
