Document Description
D&S Waste, Inc. proposes to construct a Regional Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) Transfer Station. The project parcel encompasses 33.65-acres located on the north side of SR-167, 8 miles east of US-395 and one mile north of Mono Lake. The project scope includes the following elements: (1) Permit the site as a regional transfer facility to temporarily house MSW for up to 48 hours; (2) Construct a metal waste storage & management warehouse (80’ x 100’ x 30’) to temporarily house MSW, equipment and vehicles (empty dump trucks & septic trucks); (3) Install a 12'x70' subterranean truck scale; (4) Develop gravel approaches to the new building; and (5) Construct screening berms (4’ to 12’ tall and 57’ wide) along the western, southern and eastern parcel boundaries for a total length of 3,253 feet.
