Document Description
This project includes the installation of sidewalks to close gaps along major school routes, pedestrian safety improvements by installing high visibility crosswalks and several ADA compliant curb ramps. The purpose of this project is to create safer school routes for students walking to school. The beneficiaries of this project include residents of the city including students who walk to school and use the pedestrian improvements.

The project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) review as a Class 1 existing facilities project for the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of existing or former use pursuant to the California Code of Regulations, Title 14 Section 15301 (c).
