Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed an amendment to the Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement number EPIMS-SBR-16113-R6 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas). The project amendment is limited to the removal and replacement of two 300-foot segments of 30-inch pipeline at Mile Post (MP) 124.93 and MP 124.56. Included in the pipeline replacement, are the removal and replacement of the electrical test stations, junction boxes and wiring, as well as the installation of 60# anodes and pipeline connections. Each segment of pipeline to be replaced will require a 50-foot x 600-foot (30,000 square foot) temporary work area for the excavation of soils and access to the existing pipeline. An additional 50-foot x 400-ft (20,000 square foot) temporary work area (MP 124.74) along the right of way is required between the two excavation sites for excavated spoils and staging of materials and equipment. The planned pipeline replacements and related equipment will be installed within the existing SoCal Gas Right of Way. Once the pipeline has been replaced the crews will backfill the trench using previously excavated soils and re-contour the work site to preproject grades.
