Document Description
The Housing Element Update consists primarily of statistical updates (particularly relating to Census and American Community Survey information), and reassessing housing needs based on these demographic changes. This Update added sites identified for future housing and proposed policy changes to facilitate future housing developments. This Update also includes policy actions to address changes in the requirements of law since the last Housing Element update in 2013. These changes in law address various housing-related issues, including the requirement of an assessment of fair housing. The Housing Element was originally adopted in August 2022. This re-adoption is to address changes required by HCD.
