Document Description
The District plans to add lights to the existing practice football/soccer field on the Beckman High School campus. The lights will expand the availability of field space by extending use into evening hours, ending by 10 PM. Lighting plans have been developed to provide an average of 30 foot-candles (fc), which reflects the intent to provide general practice space. The project is limited to lighting of the field and excludes adding bleachers, public address system, or ancillary buildings. The primary use will be students’ athletic activities. Community use would be allowed, but under District policy and consistent with the Civic Center Act.
