Document Description
The scour cavity on the west abutment of Rock Creek Bridge ranges from 0-inches deep to 20-inches deep. The footing repair work consists of dewatering the abutment area, cleaning the scour area, and forming and pouring reinforced concrete to fill the void and protect against future erosion. The work area will be dewatered with the use of small sack dams to divert creek flows within the natural streambed. A sack dam will be installed upstream of the abutment and around the work area allowing creek flow to continue normally around the work area.
