Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes a pavement rehabilitation project. The project consists of milling and filling the pavement and will include repairing failed areas of pavement, cold planing, placement of shoulder backing material, Hot Mix Asphalt Dikes, removal and replacement of existing
white/yellow thermoplastic pavement striping and markings and protecting or adjusting of existing utilities such as drainage inlets, utility manholes, valve covers, and survey monuments. The purpose of the project is to repair areas of failing or damaged pavement. The need of the project is to prevent further deterioration of the
paved highway surface and to extend the service life of State Route 26.
