Document Description
The project is limited to the maintenance and expansion of an existing cattle stock
pond on an unnamed drainage. Maintenance activities include outfall valve replacement, installation of an overflow outfall including rock slope protection, and removing accumulated sediments. In addition, the pond will be expanded 0.04 acres for a new total size of 0.20 acres. Approximately 683 cubic yards of native
material will be excavated and removed from the pond. Activities performed prior to the issuance of this agreement include replacement of the outfall valve, installation of the outfall structure and rock slope protection, and some sediment removal.
No in-water work will be required, construction activity will occur while the existing drainage are dry. All dredged spoils will be placed a minimum of 150 feet from the pond and all other waters of the state. Removal of mature trees and riparian habitat will not be required. Following removal of accumulated sediment all disturbed soils will be compacted and seeded with a native seed mix. Heavy equipment to be used may include an excavator, backhoe, and compactor. Equipment to be used includes a 55HP Kubota tractor with bucket and E55 Bobcat mini excavator. The site will be accessed using the existing gravel roads.
