Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes a maintenance project for existing Traffic Management Systems (TMS) at Eleven (11) locations that are in poor condition along State Route 99. The scope of work includes the maintenance and replacement of TMS elements including the Loops, Cabinets, multi-channels video distribution system (MVDS), closed-circuit television (CCTV), and Cabinet/Controllers. All work will occur within Caltrans existing Right of Way. The purpose of this project is to improve real-time communication regarding existing traffic conditions to both Caltrans and the traveling public. The project is needed to ensure safe operation of the State Highway System.
