Document Description
The purpose of the project is to perform geotechnical exploration to characterize subsurface conditions for the Eel River Bridge seismic retrofit project and aid in the design and construction of a new bridge and retaining wall. Dewatering is not anticipated but may be needed if conditions require. The contractor would be required to prepare and submit a Construction Site Dewatering/Diversion Plan and Aquatic Species Relocation Plan prior to any dewatering.

The project is a geotechnical exploration for a pending Eel River Bridge Seismic
Retrofit Project. There would be no significant adverse impact on endangered, threatened, or rare species or their habitat pursuant to §15065. There are no hazardous materials at or around the project site that may be disturbed or removed. The project will not result in impacts that are significant when viewed in connection with the effects of past projects, the effects of other current projects, and the effects of probable future projects.
