Document Description
The project will construct a new floating fishing pier at Puddingstone Reservoir, including demolishing and disposing of the existing damaged fishing pier, replacing the existing fixed pier with a new floating pier, providing Americans with Disability Act (ADA) improvements to nearby path of travel and restrooms, and related improvements. The proposed scope of work is part of a larger project that includes the replacement of two fixed fishing piers currently closed to the public. The project will also include multilingual interpretive signage to provide an enhanced experience for visitors. The project will mainly benefit anglers that visit Puddingstone Reservoir for recreational fishing. The project will also benefit anglers from several disadvantaged communities and severely disadvantaged communities near Puddingstone Reservoir, which includes the neighborhood of Spadra and the city of Pomona within 0.5 miles of Bonelli Park, the community of La Verne within one mile, and many others within a 25-mile radius—the service radius for regional parks like Bonelli Park. All recreational fishing is free at Bonelli Park, WCB Project Tracker ID: 2021162.
