Document Description
The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) is a Responsible Agency for the Project. The State Water Board’s Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (SRF) Program is financing the Project referred to internally as Robbins System - New Well and Arsenic Removal Treatment (Sutter Co. WWD#1). The Project includes replacement of an existing drinking water well and water tank, as well as upgrades to the water treatment system, to address ongoing water quality issues. The Project will be located on two separate sites, the James site, and the Acacia site. Construction at the James site will include replacement of the existing 610 gpm James Well, with a new 230 gpm well, and installation of water treatment system. A test well will be drilled as part of information collection towards the final well design. Both the original James Well and test well will be destroyed. The water treatment system will be designed around the current ATEC Water Treatment System. It will include the electrical, instrumentation/control, mechanical and civil components of the work that will facilitate tie-in of the existing Sacramento Valley Blvd Well to the water treatment system on the James Site and then connected to the existing water distribution system. Construction at the Acacia site will include replacement of the inactive 40,000-gallon water tank with a new elevated 35,000-gallon potable water tank. Additional installation of necessary appurtenant infrastructure includes site grading, water pipeline tie-in, concrete pads, booster pumps, backwash tanks, treated water storage tanks, trenching and installation of necessary electrical, and water piping valves.
