Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes maintenance repairs at seven (7) different bridges on State Route (SR) 99, between Post Mile (PM) 14.42 and 16.60, in Merced County. See the Categorical Exemption form for location and scope details. The scope of work includes methacrylate treatment, joint seal replacements, concrete overlay, railing repair, abutment repairs, and/or girder repairs. All work will occur within the existing Caltrans Right of Way. The purpose of this project is to provide preventative maintenance to deteriorating sections of these bridges. The project is needed to minimize future rehabilitation needs and maintain the bridge functionality.
