Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposed repairs to flood damages on State Route (SR) 128 from post mile (PM) 1.0 to 10.0 in Mendocino County in spring 2019 following a period of heavy rainfall, which subsequently caused the Navarro River to peak 12 feet above its flood stage and overbank. After flood waters receded the widespread erosion of roadway shoulder backing and embankment material, and damage to multiple drainage systems, was discovered. Emergency repairs included debris removal, drainage systems repair, and pavement repair to prevent the loss or impairment of life, health, property, and essential public services.
