Document Description
Install split rail fence at Asilomar State Beach and Conference Grounds to protect a patch of the state threatened Sand Gilia plant. Work will: - Excavate approximately nine (9) 12-inch wide by 24-inch deep postholes; - Set a single 4in. x 5in. x 5.5-foot tall post into each hole and backfill with native fill to secure; and - Attach 64-feet of 3.5-foot high fence to the posts.

Project consists of the operation, repair, maintenance, or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond current levels and is; construction and location of limited numbers of new, small facilities or structures, included as “Construction or installation of park facilities, such as fencing” in the Department of Parks and Recreations list of exempt activities in accordance with CCR § 15300.4; the minor public or private alterations in the condition of land, water, and or vegetation which do not involve removal of healthy, mature scenic trees; and consists of projects not to exceed 5 acres in size to assure the maintenance, restoration, enhancement or protection of habitat for fish, plants or wildlife.
