Document Description
An amendment to the Brea General Plan which updates the previously adopted 6th Cycle Housing Element, covering 2021 to 2029. The Housing Element was originally adopted on September 21, 2021, and submitted to the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) for certification in accordance with State law. HCD provided the City with written response indicating that the City must incorporate additional analysis and modifications in order to obtain certification. The Housing Element has since been revised accordingly, and the revised Housing Element was readopted by the City Council on August 16, 2022.

All future development will be subject to CEQA review.
