Document Description
PG&E is proposing to perform utility pole maintenance in the State Route 36 right-of-way (ROW) in Tehama County: post mile 1.195 to 1.468. As part of the proposed work, five new poles would be installed, while five existing poles would be replaced. The proposed poles would vary in height between 37.5 and 42 feet tall. The poles would be installed between 25 and 49 feet from the edge of the travelway. While completing the work, it would be necessary to detach and reattach aerial wires. The purpose of the project is to maintain public safety and provide reliable electric services to PG&E customers. To facilitate maintenance activities, traffic control would be performed during the proposed work. Caltrans would issue an encroachment permit to allow for the proposed work to occur within State right-of-way.
