Document Description
This project proposes to build permanent Best Management Practices (BMPs) primarily with full trash capture (FTC) capability to meet the compliance milestones of the Cease and Desist Order (CDO) R2-2019-0007, adopted by the San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board (Water Board) on February 13, 2019. This project will also address the requirements for Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) Implementation and Trash Reduction within Caltrans right-of-way (R/W) as required for the Caltrans Statewide National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit. The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes the Interstate I-80 Best Management Practice (BMP) Project (Project) to construct permanent Full Trash Capture (FTC) at nine sites within the I-80 right-of-way (R/W) or surrounding off-/on-ramps between Cordelia and Vacaville, in Solano County California.
