Document Description
Caltrans is proposing a Clean California beautification project in the City of Los Angeles and unincorporated City Terrace of Los Angeles County. This project would improve the aesthetic appearance of the roadside and interchanges by deterring graffiti. The proposed work would include restoring and installing new irrigation systems (sprinklers, valves, controllers), replacing approx. 1151 plants and 96
trees, pruning existing trees and plants, stabilizing eroding soil areas with decorative rock blanket, and grading subgrades for proper drainage at rock blankets. Excavation is proposed to a maximum depth of 5.5 inches for rock blankets and approximately 30 inches for new trees. No public utilities will be relocated, and no new right-of way will be acquired for the project. Staging areas will be within the Caltrans R/W.
