The project is limited to 1 encroachment. The encroachment is for water diversion from Indian Creek. Water is diverted for vineyard irrigation. Work for the water diversion will include use and maintenance of the water diversion infrastructure. Water is diverted from Indian Creek per State Water Resources Control Board Licensed Diversion A021256B for irrigation and frost protection. This license will be replaced by SWRCB application 032696 once the application is permitted. Water will be diverted to storage for frost protection and irrigation. Work for the water diversion will include use and maintenance of the existing water diversion infrastructure.

Reasons for Exemption
The project proposes to continue operation of an existing agricultural water diversion to maintain existing vineyard crops. Once SWRCB application 032696 is approved the season of diversion will be changed. There would be no significant adverse impact on endangered, threatened, or rare species or their habitat pursuant to §15065. There are no hazardous materials at or around the project site that may be disturbed or removed. The project will not result in impacts that are significant when viewed in connection with the effects of past projects, the effects of other current projects, and the effects of probable future projects.
