Document Description
The purpose of the project is to is to remove an existing failing impermeable 4’ tall retaining wall located at the high-water level of Lake Tahoe (6229.1’) along the rear of the property and replace with a new stacked rock wall with semi-dynamic revetment. The existing wall is currently being undercut by wave action causing erosion of the soils beneath, behind the wall, and into Lake Tahoe. The new wall will help stabilize the slope and prevent sediment movement to Lake Tahoe. The new semi-dynamic revetment will encroach 5’ into the lake beyond the high-water line causing approximately 0.011 acres of permanent impact to the lakebed. The semi-dynamic revetment will help reduce wave reflection erosion and dissipate energy.
