Svendsen’s Bay Marine, Inc., the project applicant, currently operates a boat yard on a 3.96-acre parcel located at the northern end of Santa Fe Channel, on the City of Richmond's southern shoreline. The boat yard is primarily dedicated to boat repair and maintenance. The floating docks in the channel are used for commercial boat berthage and as a staging area for boat repair. The wood docks are dilapidated and in need of replacement. The applicant is proposing to change the docks and pilars as part of the project.
