Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), using state funding only, is proposing to restore the roadway to a condition that requires minimal maintenance. The project will overlay approximately 18 miles of SR 3 in Trinity County from PM 11.0/R26.3 and 38.0/42.0. Work includes laying an asphalt rubber chip seal and Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA). Removal of thermoplastic pavement markings will be required. All work will be contained within the existing edge of pavement. No vegetation removal is anticipated. No work will be done on bridge decks. Guardrail may be upgraded as necessary.
